Latest education: MBA. Speak: Latvian, English, Russian, slowly Latgalian and a little bit Lithuanian and German.

I'm proud to be Open Directory Project (http://dmoz.org) editor from August 2004 and my main mission here is sharing my time, skills and experience for building the directory bigger and better. Better I mean categorized for more easy and logical browsing and without low quality or copy+paste content and redirecting or "Error 404" sites. Bigger I mean containing all the most important resources on every particular subject, containing sites that are unique and valuable both for author and for public.

If you would like to list a site with dmoz.org, please carefully read the guidelines and evaluate whether the site is appropriate for listing. If answer is yes, find the most appropriate category and follow the "suggest URL" link and instructions. Please note that it makes difference if you list the site in the part of directory that is in Latvian or for example in English.

If you think that site you have submitted is not included in the directory as soon as you wanted, please close the eyes and imagine the real situation with millions of sites and only thousands of volunteer editors. Then imagine that you leave the passenger's seat and become a driver. Yes, consider becoming a volunteer editor who really can make the queues of waiting sites shorter. You will be able listing your site also, but remember this is not a taxi. Editor rather is a bus driver or train or even plain pilot who initially should deliver all the passengers to their destination and only then get home himself. And ... drivers usually should learn something, then pass the exams and after all … the editing can cause dependence:)

Please be advised that after becoming editor and learning some knowledge you can find out that many sites are not appropriate for listing.

Editing is fun but it is not for fun.
