I'm a brit living in Upstate New York, USA. Keenly interested in all things musical, both listening and performing, I also enjoy Sci Fi, and travelling to all the neat places this world has to show me. I speak English and fairly fluent German, as I lived and worked there for 5 years.

My Nickname
Several people have asked me where my nickname comes from (for that it what it is). Well, I have been cruising around online from before the days of the Internet (yeah, I know that dates me) - BBSes and the like. Everyone used a handle back then - no-one was known by their "real" name. I went by Alucard for the longest time, until others started using it too (It's not that unique, after all) so I had to add to it. A friend said "just add a '(Dr.)' at the end". So I did. It has stuck. So now you know. :-)

My History with the ODP
I joined the ODP on August 26, 2001, joined the Greenbuster project on October 10, 2001, was made editor for New York State in Regional on January 31, 2002, Regional CatEditAll on April 3, 2002, and Editall/Catmv on September 6, 2002.
