In 1895, when 12 clubs decided to split from the Northern Rugby Football Union, few could have envisaged that 100 years later, the game of rugby league would become the second most popular spectator sport in Britain and spread as far and wide as Australia, New Zealand and even Papua New Guinea. Two teams take part in a game of rugby league with 13 players on each team at "kick off". Each team also have 4 substitutes/replacements available to bring on at any appropriate moment in the game. Each teams "13" is made up of 7 "backs" and 6 "forwards" . The backs are generally regarded as the attacking players and usually have more pace than the bigger more powerful forwards who are usually the "yard" makers.
The object of the game is for one team to score more points than the other team. There are 80 minutes in which to do this. A team can score points through scoring a "try" or kicking a "goal".

Following these guidelines will allow us to add your site to the directory as quickly as possible. Find the single most appropriate category for your site. With few exceptions, sites are listed in the directory in one category only. Submit your site using your main url. Use your site's actual title. Create a brief description, under 25 words, listing the current content of your site (not the future content). Look at other listings to use as a guide for what's acceptable. Do not use first person verbiage (we, our, us). Do not use marketing verbiage. (We're the best!, Most awesome site, Check it Out!) Do not use the words " and more!" in the description of your site. Sites which are gateways or splash pages to affiliate sites will not be added. Sites which are under construction, significantly lacking in content, or have inactive pages or links will not be added. Sites not significantly in English should be submitted to the World category and will not be listed here. All sites are reviewed periodically and deleted if found to be inactive. |
